As the days grow shorter and the chill sets in, it can be easy to feel a bit downcast.

With the season’s different colours and cooler temperatures, a brisk walk in the park or countryside can be invigorating.

2) Cosy nights and comfort food
With longer evenings, there’s nothing like retreating indoors and indulging in comfort food. It’s the perfect time to try out new recipes or revisit old favourites, whether it’s a warming stew, a sweet hot chocolate or a homemade pie. Cooking can be a therapeutic way to unwind, and enjoying a delicious meal with loved ones is a wonderful way to end the day, no matter what the weather is doing outside.

3) The festive season is around the corner
If you’re already feeling the winter blues, remember that the social calendar has many things to look forward to. There’s much to get excited about – like Halloween’s spooky delights, Bonfire Night events, Christmas markets and New Year’s celebrations. Prepare for the festive season – decorate your home, bake Christmas treats, or plan gatherings – it all creates a sense of anticipation and optimism.
